It has been another amazing season for Adam Smalley. In his first season with Porsche he has walked away as Vice Champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup 2022!
Following his amazing finale weekend at Brands Hatch we caught up with Adam to get his final thoughts on the season...
Hi Adam! Congratulations on being Vice Champion on your first Porsche season! What were the highlights of the season for you?
I had a great first season racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship! The highlight of the year has to be finishing Vice champion. We had a great year taking 10 podiums and numerous strong results. As it was my debut season in the championship I had a lot to learn but to finish vice champion in my first season was a dream come true. I’ll be working harder than ever to go one step higher next year!
How did you celebrate after Brands Hatch?
There were lots of celebrations with the team as without them our results this season wouldn’t have been possible. We have the end of season awards ceremony coming up in December so I’m looking forward to celebrating it even more then
What is next for you?
It’s now time to start preparing for next season. Being the Porsche GB Junior driver I’m on a two year contract so I’ll be competing in the championship again next season. We’ll be working hard over the next few weeks to get all my sponsors in place before testing starts. We’ll be putting a good pre season testing and training programme in place to aim for the title next year
